PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: April 25, 2026

Unalome House (“Unalome House,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information through our website, online store, contact forms, email and SMS signup tools, and related digital services (collectively, the “Site”).

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Site. It does not replace our separate patient-facing HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices or informed consent materials that may apply if and when you become a patient. HHS requires covered healthcare providers to develop and distribute a Notice of Privacy Practices for protected health information, which is a separate legal document from a website privacy policy.

1. Scope and Important Distinction

The Site is intended to provide information about our practice, providers, products, and services, and to facilitate lawful ecommerce, inquiries, and scheduling-related communications.

Using the Site, purchasing a product or package, or submitting an inquiry does not necessarily mean you are a patient. If and when you become a patient, additional privacy notices, intake forms, consent documents, and healthcare privacy practices may apply.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect the following categories of information.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

We may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, billing details, purchase history, appointment-request details, gift card transaction details, and any information you choose to submit through forms, surveys, promotions, newsletter signups, or customer service communications.

Because the Site currently offers virtual treatment purchases and gift cards, physical shipping information may not be required unless physical products are later made available through the Site.

2.2 Health-Related Information You Voluntarily Submit

If you choose to submit information related to your treatment interests, skincare concerns, symptoms, wellness goals, or similar health-related topics through the Site, we may collect that information. Please do not send highly sensitive medical information through general website forms unless specifically requested and appropriate for that channel.

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, dates and times of visits, clicks, interactions with the Site, cookie identifiers, and approximate location inferred from IP address.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, pixels, web beacons, analytics tools, session technologies, and similar tools to operate the Site, understand usage, improve performance, personalize content, measure campaign effectiveness, and support marketing.

Because our Site relates to healthcare and wellness topics, online tracking should be implemented carefully. HHS has issued specific guidance regarding the use of online tracking technologies by HIPAA-regulated entities, and the FTC has also emphasized the sensitivity of health-related online data.

Where required by law, we will provide any required notices, consent tools, or opt-out choices.

4. How We Use Information

We may use personal information for the following purposes:

to operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
to process orders and transactions;
to provide customer support;
to respond to inquiries and appointment requests;
to communicate regarding purchases, gift cards, deposits, forms, and scheduling;
to send newsletters, promotional emails, and SMS messages where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law;
to personalize content and user experience;
to analyze traffic, engagement, and campaign effectiveness;
to detect fraud, misuse, and security incidents;
to comply with legal obligations; and
to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

5. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:

payment processors;
website hosting and ecommerce vendors;
analytics and marketing service providers;
CRM, email, and SMS vendors;
form, scheduling, and customer-support vendors;
professional advisors, including attorneys, accountants, and insurers;
governmental authorities, regulators, courts, and law enforcement where required or appropriate; and
a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly enough that certain analytics or advertising practices may fall within those definitions, depending on the facts and technologies used. Maryland’s Online Data Privacy Act provides rights related to targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling, among other rights.

6. Marketing Communications

If you provide your contact information, we may send transactional or relationship messages related to your inquiry, order, gift card, appointment request, account, or customer service needs.

If you separately opt in, or where otherwise permitted by law, we may also send marketing and promotional communications by email or text message. You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email. You may opt out of SMS marketing by replying STOP, subject to the applicable messaging program.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to process transactions, maintain business records, respond to inquiries, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our rights.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, the reason it was collected, and applicable legal, accounting, tax, healthcare, and operational considerations.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of data transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to certain personal information, correction of inaccuracies, deletion of certain personal information, a portable copy of certain personal information, or the ability to opt out of targeted advertising, certain profiling, or the sale or sharing of personal information where applicable.

To exercise a privacy request, please contact us using the contact information below. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights as provided by law.

11. Maryland Privacy Rights

If Maryland law applies to our processing of your personal data, Maryland residents may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of certain personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, subject to exceptions and legal limitations. The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act took effect on October 1, 2025.

Maryland residents may submit privacy requests using the contact information below. If we deny a request, we will provide instructions for appealing the decision where required by law.

12. Do Not Track and Preference Signals

Some browsers and extensions offer privacy preference signals. Where required by applicable law and technically supported in our environment, we may honor eligible optout preference signals for activities that qualify as targeted advertising or sale/sharing under applicable law.

13. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Site may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, social media platforms, scheduling tools, payment processors, or embedded content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

14. Notice Regarding Health Information and HIPAA

If you become a patient of Unalome House, certain information collected and maintained in connection with your care may be subject to our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and other healthcare-specific policies rather than this website Privacy Policy alone. HHS’s HIPAA materials explain that covered healthcare providers are required to develop and distribute a Notice of Privacy Practices for protected health information.

This Privacy Policy is intended to explain our online information practices. It is not a substitute for our patient-facing HIPAA notice or medical consent documentation.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date or Last Updated date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy to the extent permitted by law.
