Dr. Danielle McDevitt

Founder & Medical Director of Unalome House

Dr. Danielle McDevitt is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and the founder of Unalome House. Her approach to medicine sits at the intersection of conventional, functional and integrative medicine, with a focus on helping patients understand not simply what is happening in their bodies, but why.

Throughout her medical career, Dr. McDevitt became increasingly interested in looking beyond symptoms and standard laboratory ranges to uncover the underlying factors affecting how her patients feel and function. She saw too many people—particularly women—who knew something wasn’t right, yet were told their labs were “normal” or that symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, poor sleep, weight changes, low libido, and mood changes were simply part of stress or aging.

She believed medicine could offer them a different conversation.

That philosophy ultimately inspired Dr. McDevitt to create Unalome House: a place where patients could feel heard, ask deeper questions about their health, and access highly personalized care that considers the whole person.

The name Unalome comes from a Buddhist symbol representing the path toward enlightenment—a journey that is rarely a straight line, but instead unfolds through twists, turns, challenges, growth, and discovery. Dr. McDevitt saw a powerful parallel in health. No two patients follow exactly the same path, and meaningful care should reflect the individual body, history, lifestyle, symptoms, and goals of the person in front of you.

Today, Dr. McDevitt specializes in functional and integrative medicine, hormone optimization, restorative therapies, longevity and anti-aging medicine, metabolic health, neuroscience and cognitive health, Lyme and mold-related illness, integrative pain management, and medical aesthetics. Her work reflects her belief that health, vitality, and how we age are deeply interconnected.

At Unalome House, she works alongside a multidisciplinary team to create personalized strategies that help patients optimize their health, feel more at home in their bodies, and ultimately thrive—not simply settle for what falls within a “normal” range.

Outside of medicine, Danielle is a wife and mother of three. She and her husband, Michael McDevitt, CEO of Unalome House, share a passion for health, entrepreneurship, and creating meaningful experiences. Together, they enjoy music, travel, nature, and time with their family.

Ashlee Reibert

Partner, Lead Physician Assistant and Associate Clinical Director

After eight years caring for patients in one of Maryland’s busiest emergency departments, Ashlee Reibert, PA-C, brought her depth of medical experience and patient-centered approach to Unalome House. Today, she serves as Partner, Lead Physician Assistant and Associate Clinical Director, helping shape both the clinical care and continued evolution of the practice.

Since joining Unalome House, Ashlee has become an integral part of its growth. Her partnership reflects not only her clinical expertise, but also her leadership, dedication to patients, and shared belief in Unalome’s approach to more personalized, proactive healthcare. In addition to seeing patients, she works closely with the clinical team on treatment protocols, clinical decision-making, practice innovation, and the thoughtful expansion of services.

Ashlee specializes in functional and integrative medicine, hormone and thyroid optimization, weight and metabolic health, regenerative medicine, and advanced medical aesthetics, including injectables and laser treatments.

Her approach is rooted in looking beyond individual symptoms to understand the bigger picture — how hormones, metabolism, lifestyle, health history and overall physiology work together. By combining clinical insight with individualized testing and treatment strategies, Ashlee helps patients build a plan designed not simply around what’s happening today, but around how they want to feel, function and age in the years ahead.

That same philosophy carries over to her approach to aesthetics. Ashlee believes aesthetic medicine should complement a patient’s overall health and enhance what is already there, with thoughtful treatment plans and natural-looking results.

Outside of Unalome House, Ashlee is married to her high school sweetheart and is a mom to two boys. She loves traveling and spending time with her family — a perspective that further shapes her belief that meaningful health and wellness should support a full life, not become another thing to manage.

Dawn Lowman

Medicine (TCM), Dawn Lowman brings an experienced, deeply personalized approach to acupuncture care at Unalome House in Severna Park, Maryland.

Dawn uses acupuncture to help restore balance within the body while supporting a wide range of health and wellness concerns. She has a particular interest in acupuncture for pain and overuse injuries, back and knee pain, digestive health, fertility, women’s health, hormonal balance, stress, and overall well-being. Her approach is thoughtful and individualized, considering not simply a symptom, but the patterns and imbalances that may be contributing to how a patient feels.

Women’s health is an important part of Dawn’s practice. Through different seasons of life, acupuncture can be used as a complementary therapy to support fertility, menstrual health, hormonal changes, stress, sleep, digestion, and the transition through perimenopause and menopause. At Unalome House, this approach fits naturally within a broader philosophy of helping women feel more balanced, resilient and connected to their health.

A Severna Park native, Dawn graduated from the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Bethesda in 2002, where she developed a strong foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine under faculty predominantly trained at Shanghai and Beijing universities. She completed the practical portion of her acupuncture training in the Washington, DC area and is a Diplomate of Acupuncture. Prior to studying acupuncture, Dawn earned her degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, giving her an additional foundation in human movement, anatomy and physical health.

After more than 20 years in practice, Dawn continues to be inspired by acupuncture’s ability to support the body in ways that extend well beyond pain relief. She believes acupuncture can be a meaningful part of a more comprehensive approach to health—helping patients support the body, calm the mind and create greater balance in everyday life.

Dawn and her husband were both raised in Severna Park and are the proud parents of three daughters. Outside of the practice, she loves spending time with family and friends, boating, crabbing and traveling. She is also an avid reader, enjoys exercise and is always happy to make time for a good cup of coffee.
